Wayford Bridge Inn Hotel

Comfortable room and good meals.

We absolutely love the Wayford Bridge Inn — it’s become a firm favourite of ours whenever we visit the area. The setting is simply idyllic, right by the river, with beautiful views whether you’re sitting inside or enjoying the outdoor terrace on a warm day. It’s the kind of place where you can instantly relax and soak up the charm of the Norfolk Broads. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who always make you feel valued as a guest. There’s a great mix of locals and visitors, which gives the place a lovely buzz without ever feeling crowded or rushed. The food is consistently excellent. We’ve sampled a good range of dishes from the menu over the years — from hearty classics to more refined specials — and have never been disappointed. Everything is freshly prepared, well presented, and generously portioned. The fish and seafood options, in particular, are a highlight, as you’d expect from a riverside inn. Drinks are equally well catered for, with a good selection of wines, local ales, and spirits. The staff are always happy to offer recommendations, which is a nice touch. Whether we’re stopping off for a leisurely lunch, a cosy dinner, or just a drink by the water, the Wayford Bridge Inn delivers every time. It’s a place we look forward to returning to — time and again.

A first class experience from the beginning. Check in was easy and the staff were very professional and welcoming. Lovely large room with a comfy bed and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was top quality and cooked to order. An ideal location for visiting the beach, broads or local towns and right by the river. It is by a busy main road although after being out all day, I had a peaceful sleep and the traffic noise soon faded away.

The ambience and atmosphere here were really pleasant. It had a warm feeling especially in the lounge areas. The hotel was busy without feeling crowded. The rooms were clean, comfortable and of a decent size. I would recommend this hotel. Its probably the best in the immediate vicinity

Cannot fault the location, and the cleanliness. The building is lovely, well decorated and immaculate. All facilities in room - hair dryer, iron, extra pillows, fan, kettle etc etc. Peaceful spot but only a short drive to plenty of restaurants, cafes, museums etc. We had a breakfast on our last day at the lovely Veras tearoom at the farm shop next door, highly recommend.
